Can't open a model in Ldlite directly from LDAO

You are probably experiencing the "space in the filename"
problem.  LDLite needs to have the model file and ldraw directory
names not ahve any "weird characters" in the names, such as spaces,
()'s, etc.  If you install LDRAW in C:\LDRAW and LDLite in
C:\LDRAW\LDLITE, everything should work OK.

Can't set it to skip STEP lines(continous mode)

The checkmark on this option is reversed.  Try doing
the opposite and it should work. (I hate stupid bugs).

Can't save steps as images.

This, and converting to LDRAW syntax, broke in 1.6, and are
fixed in the (as-yet-unreleased) 1.7.

The list could probably go on and on(if you want I'll try
everything and
see if it works).  The only things that I know work are the,
view, scale,
and the actual rendering.

Bug reports are always welcome.  Bug reports with patches to the
source code that fix the problem are doubly welcome. Distributing
a fixed version of LDLite (and the modified sourcecode) on your own
web page is permitted under the GNU license, in case I take too long
to get out the next release.

why is 1.7 not released yet?
is there still problems with it? mabie you should release a beta
version, like steve does with ldao. it would be easier to find the
bugs...

Because I'm evaluating where to invest my available time. As an investment in open source, LDLite has paid off OK. It's generated some "interest": others have contributed to the code, we've seen remarkable speed increases, and a few other programs (...) (25 years ago, 5-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
