  About LDraw/LEdit Part 4212

I have been trying to acquire and use the car frame from #6390 Main Street & #6375 in LDraw. (URL) will note that it's different from the one in #6634, 6525, and other sets made after 1983. The bottom is smooth and cannot support a 2x4 plate (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Perl rules!

(...) That's a good suggestion. Especially because it's something I can make LDAO do. As opposed to some really nifty suggestions I've received which would require changing LDLite, or would be so processing-intensive that they aren't practical. (...)   Re: permission to create monorail and fabuland catogories?

I disagree because I know what the piece looks like. It is basically a plate with some holes in it for the wheels to pop into and with sides, about a brick high, coming from the bottom of the plate. I don't have this piece in front of me so I could (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDLITE and Door Part Problems- Sorry so big

(...) In these two particular cases, I found what the problem was. Some of you might already be aware of this problem, but it was new to me. In the original parts, I had moved the statement "(CW Quads)" down a couple of lines. In doing so, I had to (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: permission to create monorail and fabuland catogories?

Sounds like that would go in the Plate category to me. Adding the word train means it hasn't, currently is not, and never will be used by any other lego model except for a train. I'm not sure what the part looks like, but if it is a plate then (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

LDLITE and Door Part Problems- Sorry so big  [DAT]

This is for anyone who is experienced with LDLITE: I have submitted 2 door parts 2400 and 6105 to Terry for the next vote. They work fine in LDRAW, but when he tested them in LDLITE he noticed a syntax error. Following is what he noticed: "Both of (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  [ldraw.org] Reference Section Coordinator?

Would someone be willing to coordinate efforts on the ldraw.org reference section? This area of the site has the potential of becoming large and I feel it needs a dedicated coordinator. This job is for the most part light work. All I think is needed (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jul-99, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) Those crystal balls are bigger than a mini-fig's head. That could hurt, if someone starts throwing things. Steve (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Categories (was Re: Parts with odd angles)

(...) Me too! It's amazing how many things can be weapons if you really want them to be. :) I even put the ice-pick axe, the flat-head screwdriver, and the grappling hook under "weapons"... (URL) course, the magic wand and the crystal ball are (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDOA Editor and .mpds

(...) I think this behaviour is due to issues internal to LDLite. It's been noted in a few different cases that LDLite can have challenges with valid MPD files, one example of this is (URL). If you split this file out into the component DAT files, (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  LDOA Editor and .mpds

Steve, You probably know this already, but loading an .mpd file into the LDAO Editor with "Show preview" on produces strange results. Sometimes the model will be draw correctly in LDLite; sometimes it won't be fully drawn; sometimes it will draw all (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
