  SW pieces

I am starting to put together another voting page that includes what SW pieces were submitted. But if any of you authors out there have any more that are ready for voting, now is the time to send them in. -- Terry K -- jjmemorial@geocities.com (25 years ago, 15-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: how long is this part?

yes i am talking about the technic sik pole. how long is the part? how wide is the part itself? how wide is the disk? how long is the disk? how long is the space between the stop and the end of the part? or can someone please make this. (it looks (...) (25 years ago, 15-May-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Un-Official Part: 32054 Technic Pin Long with Stop Bush

(...) Offhand it looks pretty good. No more flaws than those in the other Pin pieces. JW, take a look at this and compare it with the version you were working on. -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 15-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: how long is this part?

(...) Bram, I think Jonathan is talking about the element which is 5.5 bricks tall and used originally as an umbrella stand, then commonly as the horizontal boom in sailboards, and also appearing in 6516 Moon Walker. If he's talking about that (...) (25 years ago, 15-May-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad.dev)

  RE: Space Craters Baseplate?

I ve got 4 or 6 crater plates. if any one needs them they could borrow them, there in perfect shape. Id love to see them modeled and may be a few animals but there probably to dificult.   Re: Space Craters Baseplate?

do you still have the .dat file, jacob? i would like it so that i can re-work some of my space sets to fit on the crater baseplate. (25 years ago, 15-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Space Craters Baseplate?

(...) heh heh heh... as luck would have it... my *first* lego set was the alpha-1 rocket base.... alas, i sold it when i went into my dark ages... but!... recently i got an alpha-1 in an auction.. the baseplate is a little playworn, but at least i (...)   Re: Space Craters Baseplate?

(...) Good idea. That would probably simplify it a great deal. The problem is that Onyx (who wrote the Max2Dat) may not have that baseplate to model from. -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Discussion-Large Technic Shock 2909c01.dat

(...) I am not really conversant with the headers. But will you send me the file(s) in email, and I will try posting them to lugnet. At least we can verify if the problem is entirely at your end, or if the server is choking for some other reason. Or (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Txt2Dat, utility to convert text to LDraw

I've created a small utility program (and supporting DAT files) to create LDraw displays from text messages. It's currently very limited; it only handles numbers, letters, and some whitespace. To check it out, go to my page at (URL) and follow the (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad)

  Re: Space Craters Baseplate?

(...) I once started to make it, but, as Terry says, it _is_ pretty difficult to model. I have the plate with the proper studs on it and the complete outline of the "hill". Wasn't there someone that could convert 3D Studio Max to DAT. I think it (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Torso number was Forestman Torso was Voting Page

(...) I just did a check on the numbers availability. According to my list, at some point in time 973, 974, & 978 have been used. At least they are not included in my list of 'free' numbers. But they are not in any current usage, and they they are (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Space Craters Baseplate?

(...) No, the cratered baseplate has not been done. That one may take a while, as it would be pretty difficult to model. -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Torso number was Forestman Torso was Voting Page

(...) It *was*. But that also means that it *IS*. There almost certainly is a composite torso out there with the number 9326 (ask Joshua). Just because TLG revised the numbering system to use 5 digits does not change the history or existence of past (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: 99-03 Voting: Quick Comments

(...) Just spouting off a theory without any actual knowledge. :-) I was just theorizing that it would probably be simpler and more accurate to mold the basic nut shape, and then run a threaded tap through it to create threads. At least it seems to (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
