  Re: vote 9902

So, nothing could be more clear than this example. As I said before, Continuing to follow TLG naming scheme causes problems. Always. Is it a nice thing to put some already done and meet the quality requirements parts on hold, just because they are (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: vote 9902

o.k. but what is wrong with the 9v motor? it is the correct color and the correct number? is there something wrong with the piece? (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: problem with JJ Memorial

(...) We have long thought that could happen. But it may be just a temporary problem, as that has happened before. My advice, wait a bit and see if the problem clears up. If you have a pressing need for the original archives, ask me and I can email (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: vote 9902

(...) Yes, that is basically why. We are trying to work out a compromise between the use of LDraw as a modelling tool and as a parts reference. Some number codes refer to specific-colored composite pieces. So using those numbers for generic #16 (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

parts DESPERATLY wanted (steve: please read)

steve: please can i have the new roadplates you made and the 1 x 2 x 2 brick? also do you have any plans to make the 9 stud curve with pattern? it would be very useful and it would complete the set. also can i have the helipad pattern as well? i (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  problem with JJ Memorial

i just discovered that the links to james site (ldraw.exe etc) from the JJM are now broken. it appears that james site has been deleted (the ftp part that is, the http part is still there). someone may want to fix this. (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  vote 9902

just got the vote! great. BUT i am curious as to why the folowing were put on hold... the large technic hook? the knife? the harpoon? the 9v motor? i assume that the hook, harpoon and kjnife suffer the same problem that toe antenna 6h suffered in the (...)   LDraw part update 9902

The lcad9902 update has been posted. Note that Lars' new MKLIST program is included in the update as well as the complete.exe distribution. Please use this program in place of any other version of makelist or makelst2 and let us know if any problems (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad)

Laurentino Martins wrote in message <36FAD990.A9CE2366@m...pac.pt>... (...)   New Touch Sensor

I was looking at the new parts for LDraw and was pleased to see that the '879 Touch Sensor' was not called 'MindStorms Touch Sensor' as it might have been, since the '8482 CyberMaster' also includes tree of these. For those who don't know, the (...) (26 years ago, 26-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: MPD Parts? (and a confession)

(...) Cool. I have it implemented and it works tolerably well. (...) modelling (...) Rokenbok is mostly not compatible, only the plates have the requisite nubs on them. But that is cool since you can build any Lego construction off the plates and (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: MPD Parts? (and a confession)

(...) I suggested this for LDraw2. I think Jacob is including some variation of this idea. And Paul Gyugyi is actively talking about supporting this in LDLite. I think (but I'm not sure) Lars is going this way in L3P as well. (...) One thing Gyug is (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  MPD Parts? (and a confession)

Okay, so it is easy to display an MPD file, but what do people think about allowing part files to be MPDs? This would allow making the sub-parts that are related to a part to be packaged with the part. The trick is how to determine what file an MPD (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDlite "Black" not really Black...

(...) Even if I was doing a "true black" background, I'd probably still want my black lego parts in a slightly off-black color. So maybe the -B option could accept an RGB value? Steve (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Picayune request for LDLite

(...) I second Steve's request for a good way to see _all_ the type 5 lines. A _feature_ in LDraw is convenient in this respect - you can change the 5s to 2s and LDraw willl ignore the spurious data at the end of the line. I think LDLite ignores (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  LDlite "Black" not really Black...

I noticed that In LDlite, "black" is not really black... it is not quite R:0;G:0;B:0. I know that that works well for lego parts, but it would be nice if it would render true black when you select black for the background color. --Karim (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Picayune request for LDLite

I'd like to have more colors available in the Background Color and Default Piece Color drop-downs. Or the ability to type in different color codes. While editing parts, it is useful to set the part-color to a transparent value -- it makes it much (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
