Re: why is no-one saying anything about my parts?

(...) Ok, I took a look at a few of your parts this morning. <flame> The reason people haven't said boo about your parts is because they know it will be wasting their breath. There is still a lot lacking in the parts I viewed. The incessant bugging (...) (25 years ago, 29-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: why is no-one saying anything about my parts?

(...) If you think some of the parts need more work, you should look at them yourself. Some things you can do are: 1. If you use LDAO, load the part-file into the LDAO Editor, turn on the Stop-At-Cursor option, and step through the file. 2. View the (...) (25 years ago, 29-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

(...) You are right about the rotation point. It should lie on a major axis, to simplify rotating. However, I believe most window panes have been created in their 'default' orientation, not laying on their side. If you rotate this part 90-degrees (...)   Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

(...) I realize that primitives which are sized to 1LDU are easier to use, but a set of primitives which don't all use the same sizing are *harder* to use overall, because the author has to remember which sizing to use for which primitives. (...) But this piece is more akin to 3855 1x4x3 Window Glass than 3854 1x2x3 Window Pane. This piece and 3855 are akin in that, while they can be rotated, it is *much* less common than sitting vertical in the frame. Your piece, in its current form, (...)   Mirroring in LDraw (was: Re: what are the rules about hoses etc?)

Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

A few things I noticed/suggestions: 1. The way you use box4nl, you are drawing a bunch of quads which will never be seen. Drop the end-quads from box4nl. 2. On the outside frame, butted-construction is not the best way to put graphics primitives (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)
