  Re: Part Name Question

(...) I like Bar or support. Those, IMO, are the most-likely non-space use of it. (...) Will the 1x1 end of it use capitalization? (i.e. STUD.DAT) Also, a problem that I noticed with John's mock-up is that the end cylinder was *not* the same (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Part Name Question

I'm finalizing the "Star Wars Ion Cannon" part, and neither John nor I can think of a decent name for it. Heck, what *category* should it be in? John has suggested one of the following categories: Bar Support Space And I've got the following (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: new part description changes?

(...) Speaking as the author of this part, I like the idea of using the word "Bogie" in the description. But also I would like to express in the name that you normally clip this part on the side of the train motor. So I would prefer the following (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Voting Comments

(...) You can minimize the jagged appearance by using a 1-8cyli.dat around the hole. This leaves the minimum amount of surface around the holes to be jagged in POV-Ray. And if you rotate all the primitives to center your 1-8cyli parts on the (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Part 2429

What happened to this part (used to be Hinge Plate 1 X 4 Bottom)? Part 146, Window 1 x 2 x 3 Pane Latticed, was move to this number (2429) in the last update, but I cannot find the original 2429. Does anyone have any answers, or did I just miss (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) i've had the "type 5 getting switched to type 4" problem here and there.. some say it's a problem in the LDAO inliner... i'll have to take a look at my original files again and see if they got corrupted during inlining.. i can fix them easy (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Is that so? I can't remember having read that in the FAQ. I'll make sure to sort the edges first, now that I know of this. Fredrik (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Voting Comments

(...) Yes, at least it makes a difference if the lines are drawn before or after the surrounding/contrasting color quads. LDraw (and LDLite) favor the earlier-drawn object, when two objects occupy the same space. Always draw edge-lines first. Steve (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: new part description changes?

(...) VEC. (...) OK I own up to this one, and playing devil's advocate here - why is the category plural *Plants*, we dont have *Baseplates*, *Bricks*, etc ? Chris (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
