| | Hey all, Here's my first semi-successful attempt at (quasi-) parts-authoring. I'm extremely new at this, and would appreciate any feedback I can get on the changes I made to this part. What I did: I modified the part #4349 (Town Loudhailer) to have (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

| | | | | (...) Actually, it didn't look so good in L3Lab -- because L3Lab balked at using color 24. A totally different approach would be to construct a subfile, which would contain one segment of ribbing. Then use the subfile to build the ribbed section of (...) | | | | | (...) I only added lines #6 - 36 -- all the color 24's were there before. Whoops, I see what happened now. When I ran it through LDAO's inliner (see below), it changed all the type-5 lines to type 4. I just now changed the pseudo-4's back into real (...) (24 years ago, 14-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

| | | | | (...) Easy -- I opened the part (in the models dir) in LEdit, moved something that was totally far from the 5-lines, saved it, and loaded the part in a text editor. Sure enough, the 5-lines with color 24 were now 4-lines with color 24. FWIW, all the (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Also: - Fixed my goofy 4/5 lines. - Shoved the handle into the body, adjusting the handle's length to compensate, so that there are no gaps between the handle and the ribbing. - Added header stuff. 2 questions remain: - Is this good enough?
