Thanks to the work of several parts authors (Kevin Clague, Steve Bliss, Matthias Paul Scholz and myself) who were in Mindstorms Developer Program, mockups of NXT parts were modelled in LDraw. The delay is related to the Contributor Agreement, insofar as I want to split the library between CA-authored (and thus redistributable) parts and non-CA-authored parts, before issuing the next update. It searches for subparts relative to the part location ../p/, ../parts/, ../parts/s/. What are the official and unofficial folders called? (...) Here's the weird thing. I had the subpart in both the main ldrawpartss folder and also the unofficial folder. But I only had the main file in the official folder. Once I put it in the unofficial folder it magically began working. :) I have a (...) (18 years ago, 31-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.leocad, FTX)

L3P cannot substitute a primitive it doesn't know, but the above mentioned 4-4cyl12.dat will be treated like any ordinary DAT file, and then the 4-4cyli.dat and the 4-4disc.dat will get substituted (the edges are not used in L3P). I'm hoping someone can help. I'm trying to get this part: (URL) in LeoCAD. I downloaded the main dat file, and the subfile to go with it. I have put them in ..\ldraw\parts and ..\ldraw\parts\s respectively. But LeoCAD seems to want to display the (...) (18 years ago, 22-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
