  Re: x342: ~Technic Flex-System End

(...) I agree! "Cable" is much better. I knew that "Wire" was sub-optimal when I wrote the article, but I couldn't come up with a better word at the time. (...) Fredrik (22 years ago, 28-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: x345: Technic Flex System Ball Connector (closed)

(...) I'm a dummy. I overanalyzed the problem. Here's the solution: The BFC CERTFY statement dosen't have a CW or CCW. If add CW or CCW everything will show up as expected. You still have to fix the bad vertex sequences and row all 0 warnings (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) 8?) (...) Good idea! But thinking about it, the "aussie" word that works best is probably "cable", so maybe I'll use that. (...) Can do!   Re: x345: Technic Flex System Ball Connector (closed)

(...) Hmmm. I tried that with a few quads (I'll fix them all soon) but it made no difference - they're still all blue. ROSCO (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Are these 2 tiles the same pattern?

Are these two tiles the same pattern? (URL) think they are, but the px2 part shows a handle on the side and 85 in the yellow box that aren't represented in the LDraw rendering p52. All of the tiles I have on hand are px2. If there is a variant like (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: x342: ~Technic Flex-System End

Very interesting parts! I have a couple of comments, though. Perhaps the name "Technic Flex-System Wire" would be more appropriate? We already have "Technic Flex-System Hose" elements (76.DAT and 77.DAT), so I think that adding "Wire" makes sense. I (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Working on HP Door

Hi Everyone, Just thought I'd let everyone know I'm working on the Harry Potter door with an arched window. Part #40241 I have completed most of the outline edge lines. Still need to add window and key hole. Will probably take another month to (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: x345: Technic Flex System Ball Connector (closed)

(...) I found your problem. Run a L3P -check test on your part, all the quads with bad vertex sequence errors will show up as blue under mytest6. Fix the errors with the quads and L3Lab will correctly show eithr red or green. This goes for your (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

x345: Technic Flex System Ball Connector (closed)  [DAT]

This is the first part I've attempted to do BFC on, and I'm confused - how do I decide the winding of type 3 & 4 objects? I switched on mytest6 in L3Lab, and they all display blue. I think I got all the type 1s right tho 8?) Comments? ROSCO 0 (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

x342c01: Technic Flex-System 96LDU Long (open file for usage guide)  [DAT]

See also x342 & x343. I'm not sure about the naming & numbering on this one - its set up the same as 75, 76 & 77 flex elements. I was considering not making x343 a part, asit only contains 1 line, but it gives the part the correct scale, and makes (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) I think you've got part 4168, 'Train Signal Mast'. (...) These parts have appeared in two sets (or three, depending on how you count).   Re: Could someone tell me what this is?

(...) It's way beyond my limited ability to modify other's parts into new ones :).
