  Re: Error in 71427.dat

(...) I'm probably as big an offender as anyone. Something part-authors should do (besides running their files through LDLite -G and L3P before submitting them) is to either turn off line-wrapping in their e-mail program when sending Terry parts, or (...) (26 years ago, 11-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Error in 71427.dat

(...) Lately, I haven't been having too many problems. That I can recall anyway. (inside joke to Steve <g>) But you're right about it being better to send as an attachment. Personally, I like zip files as an attachment. Those seem to be pretty (...) (26 years ago, 13-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

Submission format for new parts? (Was: Error in 71427.dat)

(...) What is your opinion on getting the part files formatted as a MPD file (so SplitMPD can remove the "garbage" for you)? Play well, Jacob (I want to make a part too) ---...--- -- E-mail: Jacob.Sparre.Andersen@risoe.dk -- -- Web...: <URL:(URL) -- (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Submission format for new parts? (Was: Error in 71427.dat)

(...) This is not directed specifically at Jacob. His post just got me interested in how to make it easy to deal with MPDs sent as attachments in e-mail. This is a script that can be inserted in a DOS .BAT file to make it easier to deal with MPD's (...) (26 years ago, 14-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Submission format for new parts? (Was: Error in 71427.dat)

(...) To be honest Jacob, I don't have MPD. When you first made it, I tried it and had problems getting it to work. And never did go back and try it again. So the few times I have had to split a MPD file, it was using a text editor where I can mark (...) (26 years ago, 15-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Submission format for new parts? (Was: Error in 71427.dat)

(...) :-( (...) Can you remember them? I wouldn't mind fixing (fixable) problems. (...) I am pretty certain your software can't handle the way I have to send zip files (I'll send you a fix of 30144 to test this). Play well, Jacob ---...--- -- (...) (26 years ago, 15-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Submission format for new parts? (Was: Error in 71427.dat)

(...) May I ask why this is? If you're on a UNIX like system (like me), I find that adding the "-k" switch when making the zip archive helps. Also, the problem with line feed may pose a problem when transporting files from a UNIX like system til a (...) (26 years ago, 15-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Submission format for new parts? (Was: Error in 71427.dat)

(...) It is mostly my fault. I use uuencode to include binary files in e-mail (and I've heard rumours that MS-Win software can't handle that). I've sent Terry a file, so we can see if the rumour is true. Play well, Jacob ---...--- -- E-mail: (...) (26 years ago, 15-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Submission format for new parts? (Was: Error in 71427.dat)

(...) No, I don't recall the specifics. I will try to do it again soon. (...) It came through just fine. Saved with the correct name, and unzipped OK. So your way of sending works. Thanks BTW, for fixing 30144. -- Terry K -- (26 years ago, 16-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)
