One of the beauties of the 5x5 pixel idea is that there is no cost. It would
simply be a small selection of pixels that would be put into the image by the
author into a field of like colored pixels. this allows for about 32 million
different watermarks with a 25 pixel area this is even enough to allow a sub
clasification mark that could be used to further authenticate the models.
This could be done by reducing the field to 4x5 and setting aside the other
five pixels as a sub designation allowing 32 sub models and still leaving us
with over a million watermarks. Yeah lego will probably never check these but
this could prove a useful system if the rights to a picture do ever become
disputed. The only administrative task associated with this is to create a
repository for the watermarks. Maybe a watermark could be given upon lugnet
membership that prvides an easy way of keeping track of them. Like I said I'm
just throwing some ideas out there
