Yeah, sorry, I'm already registered at the new forum. My reaction was mainly
against Tim's tone - as if 'modern' is the only working way. For some reason
he raises my hackles quite often...
I'm well used to web forums, but I still prefer NNTP *when it's available* -
don't spend too much (any?) time on trying to adapt the web forum. It's
better to try to evolve the web experience than trying to cram it into NNTP.
One thing that a web forum can do a lot better than NNTP is for example
showing pictures - spend your time on getting the new forum to show LDRAW
models, allow to upload images so we don't need another hosting place
(bricshelf, flickr, etc.) just to show a picture.
And thanks for all the work you do for the LDRAW community!
