Given that we are transitioning over (eg. the website now points to the new
forums) rather than duplicating I’d say that the dedicted forum is the right
place and a comment at LUGNET should be considered secondary.

Are you suggesting that we stop making announcements on the LDraw.org home
page? That seems wrong to me. Otherwise (while LUGNET is still alive), all we
have done is created a third place that I need to announce updates.

Ahhh, sorry, I misunderstood. I think the LDraw website should definitely be the
main place to make the main announcement.
But if you’re going to announce it in a forum as well I’d say the LDraw forum
would be the best place. We’ve already got people joining there who aren’t on
LUGNET so I suspect its reach will fast become further.

| First, thanks for all the work to get this update out to us! Please continue to announce it on LUGNET. I don't get to the LDRAW website / forums at all, and want to remain apprised of new parts. Is there a possibility of an automated email update (...) (13 years ago, 27-Jul-11, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
