Guess I missed that part when I tried it ;) Well manuals and readme's are
usually only included as a last resort...

Anyway: even
now it took partly over 4 hours (on a pentium IV) to render my train in
1024x768. I think 3 days (or for a bigger train 2 wheeks?!) would be
hardly to bear....

Yeah it's a pain sometimes. When I rendered the instructions for my Santa Fe
manual it took me almost 2 weeks for all the images to be rendered, quite
frustrating. Already looked into faster rendering methods, but apart from
(ab)using some machines I have access to nothing that is budget-neutral
came to mind :D
