Re: LDConfig.ldr is still too hard to find IMO

(...) No, I don't think so. The version from March is both in complete.zip and was what I downloaded from the direct link before starting this thread. I've spent a couple of hours working with that March version as basis since yesterday, believing (...) (14 years ago, 8-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

Re: How About a Color Tracker?

I don't think much harm is done about silver colors - afterall, correspondance with LEGO internal color numbers remain somewhat academic, what we need is to know which LDraw color to use in each case. If I understand well (correct me otherwise!): - (...) (14 years ago, 8-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

In lugnet.cad, Timothy Gould wrote: (URL) (...) Tim, I think you just over-wrote the latest version (from July) with the one from March. I think the only difference is that there are three or four new colors. I have a copy here: (URL) (14 years ago, 8-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Thanks, Tim! Simply because: 1. I didn't know that I have the authority/admin rights to do that. 2. I don't have the slightest idea how to do that. /Tore (14 years ago, 8-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDConfig.ldr is still too hard to find IMO

(...) I'm curious why you didn't just add a link yourself. That's what I just did and now it is there. Why wait for someone else to do it for you if you feel so strongly about the problem? Tim --snip-- (...) (14 years ago, 8-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

Re: How About a Color Tracker?

(...) fact is, that it is nearly impossible to match one for one our colors to the colors that we hear about from TLG. LEGO is constantly changing their colors, adding new, taking away old, and even changing the color and still calling it the same (...) (14 years ago, 7-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDConfig.ldr is still too hard to find IMO

(...) Updates to ldconfig.ldr are distributed with parts updates. As such the latest version is always in the complete zip ((URL) in the complete windows install file, and if it changes, in the incremental update (e.g. (URL) (14 years ago, 7-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

LDConfig.ldr is still too hard to find IMO

In order to straighten out the mess I've caused among my many versions of LDConfig.ldr, I needed to download the latest official version from LDraw.org. Even though it is possible to find it, it is still anything but easy! First I tried Downloads (...) (14 years ago, 7-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

  How About a Color Tracker?

I have been tweaking around with the colors and trying out different unofficial LDConfig files. And, of course, I have lost track of which colors are official, which ones are my hacks, which ones are unofficially "approved" and just waiting to (...) (14 years ago, 7-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

(...) The LSC and Steer Co really needs Part Authors. I'm not sure how much good I really do anymore, since my knowledge is just in Colors and some minor Application development. Any Part Authors out there, please self nominate! Your help is needed. (14 years ago, 6-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
