How About a Color Tracker?

I have been tweaking around with the colors and trying out different unofficial
LDConfig files.

And, of course, I have lost track of which colors are official, which ones are
my hacks, which ones are unofficially "approved" and just waiting to formally
become official.

I would really like to have a list of: first all official LDraw colors, then
those waiting in the pipeline to be officialized and subjected to be refered to
for consideration from all LDraw users.

So, how about a Color Tracker in the likeness of the PT at LDraw.org? But with
the difference that everyone can comment and review, but not have the power to
cast 'hold' votes? (As I fear that could potentially halt all progress...)

Right now, there is a discussion on all the different variants of silver at the
PT. http://www.ldraw.org//cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?f=parts/2336p36.dat Other users
than the part reviewers may have valuable input on this issue, or we run the
risk of a premature decision can be taken?

Looks like a good idea! What about a simple wiki page? Philo (14 years ago, 7-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

(...) fact is, that it is nearly impossible to match one for one our colors to the colors that we hear about from TLG. LEGO is constantly changing their colors, adding new, taking away old, and even changing the color and still calling it the same (...) (14 years ago, 7-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)
