Everyone has their opinion, and they all seem to be very strong opinions. The
fact is, that it is nearly impossible to match one for one our colors to the
colors that we hear about from TLG. LEGO is constantly changing their colors,
adding new, taking away old, and even changing the color and still calling it
the same name.
To make things worse, we often have a hard time knowing that a color has
changed, so we call it by the same name. However, if we didn't group very
similar colors together, their would be at least five different versions of Code
14 Yellow.
I take offense to anyone who says a big mistake was made, as I spent close to 80
hours trying to fit everything in where it should be. I know that Willy,
Joshua, and others have also spent near equal amounts of time.
However, if there are enough strong opinions that the two Drum Lacquered colors
don't go with our Chrome colors, then I propose this change:
0 // LDraw Chrome Colours
0 !COLOUR Chrome_Gold CODE 334 VALUE #BBAE3D EDGE #BBB23D CHROME

As to a Color Tracker...there are no rules to go by, so it comes down to who has
the strongest opinion. With nearly everyone having different opinions, LDConfig
would be deadlocked in the Tracker forever.

| I don't think much harm is done about silver colors - afterall, correspondance with LEGO internal color numbers remain somewhat academic, what we need is to know which LDraw color to use in each case. If I understand well (correct me otherwise!): - (...) (14 years ago, 8-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)
