  Re: LPub4 Alpha3 available

(...) Too late :-( I have redesigned the complete layout and am however more satified with it then with the previous version. So I guess I was lucky with this bug ;-) (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Conversion file for ldraw to ldd

(...) Tim, I've been face down in LPub 4...... Has the LDraw community created its own convertor that supports MDP format? Thanks, Kevin (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: Conversion file for ldraw to ldd

(...) I believe it can read them but can't write them. Earlier versions definitely could but the newer ones may be missing that feature. And yeah the LXF file format definitely has the concept of sub-models. Tim (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: Conversion file for ldraw to ldd

(...) Once I got a better ldraw.xml, the conversion process provided me with a valid ldraw file. The instructions associated with LXF seem to indicate that LDD knows about sub-models, but yet it seems to in-line them when spitting out the ldr file. (...)   Re: Conversion file for ldraw to ldd

(...) Nor have I. (...) L3Lab doesn't have a Save dialog, but in the Open dialog there is a Pop Up Button with label "Enable", that let's you choose from: All Readable Documents L3 LDraw file (ldr) L3 LDraw file (mpd) All Documents If you select (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: License questions

(...) That's right. L3P also passes comment lines (line type 0) on to the POV code, but there's currently no disclaimer at the top. The coming release has this line at the top: // LDraw.org: (URL) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: L3P question

(...) No, not that I'm aware of. Thanks for asking. /Lars (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: License questions

(...) I don't know about an official answer, but it's worth considering that L3P has been providing POV exports of LDraw models for over 9 years now, and as far as I know, nobody has complained. --Travis (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: POV-Ray help needed

(...) A few things. First of all, both the LDraw file format and the POV file format support hierarchical compositions, so I think it's a good idea to leave things in their original hierarchy. So, instead of having a POV object for each part that is (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Problem with LDView

(...) Actually, LDView will run on a clean Windows 98 install (as well as anything since then). I think it will run on a clean Windows 95 install, but it might not; my test virtual machine for old OS support is Win 98. --Travis (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Problem with LDView

(...) Thanks for that, I'll have a play. I suspect that the problem is likely to be the latest version of the graphics card driver! I tend to keep stuff up to date and LDView certainly worked in the past on this hardware (might have been a previous (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: License questions

(...) Anybody... ? An alfa version of a pov export you'll find here: (URL) would really like to get an 'official' answer to this. (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  POV-Ray help needed

Hello all, I have been busy with POV-Ray export for LD4DStudio now and then for about two weeks now. It comes along quite nicely, but the results can be better. I am no POV-Ray expert so I'm looking for some tips from experienced users. An example (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Problem with LDView

(...) Maybe it requires a very specific version of the VB or .NET runtimes? Sometimes software won't behave if you don't have the exact version it was written for. -Mike (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Problem with LDView

(...) It appears that the crash is happening in the ATI OpenGL driver. (Note: I'm not saying that the ATI driver is responsible for the crash, just that that's where it's crashing.) Some things to try: Create the following DWORD registry key and set (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Problem with LDView

I have a problem with LDView. When I open any file it gets as far as Calculating Size and crashes out. Error signature AppName: ldview.exe AppVer: 3.2.0.5 ModName: atioglxx.dll ModVer: 6.14.10.5014 Offset: 004353b7 It saves an appcompat file <?xml (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub4 Alpha3 available

  Re: LPub4 Alpha3 available

(...) OK. I tested the results using 11.0 by 8.5 which results in a landscape page fitting the page area. Unfortunately my design does not fit anymore, but I guess I have to edit it to get a landscape result. Back to the drawing board for me, I say! (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jun-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: I had to get something out before Brickworld
