That's right.
L3P also passes comment lines (line type 0) on to the POV code,
but there's currently no disclaimer at the top.
The coming release has this line at the top:

| (...) I also think it should be enough to place a disclaimer and preserve (part of) the comments to identify and credit the original authors.
