Re: RACHAL Polar - changeover day

--snip-- (...) For future ones I'll try to include them but I simply didn't have time for this one. Sorry. Tim (17 years ago, 8-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  Re: LSynth rubber band question

(...) That's OK. Thank you for the explanation of LSynth's current development. Reading the relevant part descriptions from an external file sounds like a great idea. That should make it easier to add support for new parts in the future. I wish (...) (17 years ago, 8-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: MPD to LDR converter?

(...) OK, I got it. I forgot about the Export function and was looking for it under the Multipart > export menu. -Duane (17 years ago, 8-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LSynth rubber band question

(...) Hi Jim, There is a new LSynth in the works. You can see the updates on sourceforge. Willy has been doing a great job testing, and driving change based on his experience. Don Heyse has been taking care of the code, and hammering out the bad (...) (17 years ago, 8-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: RACHAL Polar - changeover day

(...) Wow that is huge. I was wondering when we do have RACHAL if it would also be possible to include a .zip of the unofficial parts used in the .mpd file? Thanks. Looking forward to try it. Have some ideas. Zach Best (17 years ago, 8-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  Re: MPD to LDR converter?

(...) Hi Duane, You should be able to use the File > Export function within MLcad to do what you want. You only need to select the base model within the MPD, and it'll spit out an LDR file with all of the sub-models in-lined. Please let me know if (...) (17 years ago, 8-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad)

  MPD to LDR converter?

I'll post this here in the main group... Is there a utility that can convert an MPD file to a consolidated LDR file? -Duane (17 years ago, 8-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw All-In-One-Installer - Seeking permission from software programmers

Re: LGEO quirks with parts 6536 and 6187

(...) Great! Thanks, Travis. (URL) fix render>> I had never noticed the link to those fixes from the L3P page. It's all part of the journey of discovery for LDraw novices, I suppose. Jim (17 years ago, 8-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Re: LDraw All-In-One-Installer - Seeking permission from software programmers

(...) I believe I switched to the GPL for version 3.0. (3.1 is definitely under GPL.) I think I could still release the Windows version under a different license if I chose, since it doesn't use any GPL software (probably; I'd have to check to see (...)   LGEO quirks with parts 6536 and 6187

In the course of experimenting with L3P and POV-Ray, I've noticed there are a few parts that appear positioned or oriented incorrectly when LGEO parts are used (with L3P's -lgeo option). Here is an example of the two I have found so far, (URL) 6536> (...) (17 years ago, 8-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  LSynth rubber band question

  Re: Brickshelf Upload Utility

I have released a rudimentary Mac OS X version of Brickshelver: (URL) It is only partially complete, but I don't expect to invest much more time in it anytime soon unless I receive substantial feedback expressing interest in that effort.   Re: LDraw All-In-One-Installer - Seeking permission from software programmers

I can't legally agree to that, and it's likely that a large percentage of the other authors can't either. The thing is, I'm not the sole author of LDView, and never have been. LDView has always included code written by friends of mine from college, (...) (17 years ago, 6-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Set 6636 different part shown in instruction

Has anybody an idea which part is showing on the box of the set 6636 that looks like 2486 (Bar 1 x 8 x 2)? From the picture it has to be "Bar 1 x 8 x 3" but the set containted in real part 2486. Or was it only a mistake by TLC when they changed the (...) (17 years ago, 4-Aug-07, to lugnet.db.scans, lugnet.parts, lugnet.cad)
