RE: *** SPAM *** MLCAD Mindstrom Category  [DAT]

The obvious problem with this is that, when the library is updated, all the edits will be over-written Creating a series of "m" shortcuts may be better, eg 0 MINDSTORM Brick 1 x 2 0 Name: m3004.dat 0 Author: LDraw Community 1 16 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 (...) (18 years ago, 27-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

  LDraw Java Applet?

I'm sure people have thought of this before, but it would be really nice to have an LDraw Java Viewer developed, so that models could be viewed in a web page. I imagine it could fetch the part files from LDraw.org, or, even simpler, have a utility (...) (18 years ago, 27-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Looking for Star Wars Base Plate

(...) Sorry, I don't know the part number, but I have a tip. When I'm looking for a part that I don't know the name to, I'll look up the inventory for a set that has that part. That usually does the trick. Good luck! -Bryan (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: // Empty model errors in POV-Ray

(...) The ALL IN ONE INSTALLER will NOT remove your models folder when it uninstalles. All other folders within LDraw will get wiped. So as long as you put your models in C:LDRAWMODELS or store them OUTSIDE of the LDraw folder they are okay. -Ahui (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Looking for Star Wars Base Plate

Does anyone know the part number for the star wars baseplate that came with the 3-pak minfigs? I would like to buy some on brickshelf but have no idea what they are called or what to look for. Thanks, AHui (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: // Empty model errors in POV-Ray

(...) Thought so. Your LDRAWDIR is probably just C:\LDRAW. You can confirm this, if these folders exist: C:\LDRAW\P C:\LDRAW\PARTS C:\LDRAW\MODELS LDRAWDIR is a way of telling LDraw related programs where to find the P, PARTS and MODEL folders. Now, (...) (18 years ago, 24-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Non square stud groups?

Is there any support for non square stud groups? Some of of the obvious ones would be 1X4, 1X6, 1X8, and 1X16. (18 years ago, 24-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: New to the world of LDraw

(...) There's a little slider on the right side of MLCad's color dialog. If you scoll down one tick you'll see the transparent colors. -Orion (18 years ago, 24-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: New to the world of LDraw

(...) Don't know exactly what the problem was, but it was solved by a third re-install. Still getting used to the basic interface. Where are the transparent colors? I see the checkbox, but its always disabled Aaron (18 years ago, 24-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: // Empty model errors in POV-Ray

In looking in the C:\LDRAW\LEdit folder I find no other folders, just the LEDIT.exe and LEDIT.html files. Would this be causing the prob. I've decided that I'm going to keep all models on the C: drive from now on. As of this point, I still have not (...) (18 years ago, 24-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Animation problem
