The obvious problem with this is that, when the library is updated, all the
edits will be over-written
Creating a series of "m" shortcuts may be better, eg
0 MINDSTORM Brick 1 x 2
0 Name: m3004.dat
0 Author: LDraw Community
1 16 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 3004.dat
With a list of the part numbers in the set(s) it should be fairly simple to
write a script to do this

I recieved the following question at the Help Desk this week and while my
answer
will work it is one long, tedious customized process. I am wondering if
anyone
has an easier way?

| (...) That is true but remember that this is for a classroom that wil only use the MINDSTROM parts so updates to the LDraw library will be of no concern to them unless a new MINDSTORM part is included. Thinking of this what we really need is an (...) (18 years ago, 27-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
