Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

In lugnet.cad, Kevin L. Clague wrote: I just timed rendering of all the pedmatic construction step images and part list images and the process took less than 3 minutes! Amazing. After I debug ldglite and ldview on windows 98, then I'll work on the (...) (19 years ago, 18-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Actually it was a bug in LPub. ldglite pre-crops the image to the smallest enclosing rectangle. LPub didn't expect this, applied its own crop routine, and added artifacts. Also this pre-cropping is why ldglite process is much faster than (...) (19 years ago, 18-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: 8652 Enzo Ferrari 1:17

(...) Looks cool. It also exposes a bug and a missing feature/possibly bug in the current LDView releases. LDView doesn't properly support files in subdirectories inside an MPD (such as s\). It also doesn't detect primitives inside the MPD, since (...) (19 years ago, 18-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) I got the command line by putting a MessageBox call at the very beginning of the main entry point for LDView. Then, I manually attached a debugger to the process when the message box appeared. This lets you debug. --Travis (19 years ago, 18-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Possibly. (...) Yeah, I noticed this too, but I haven't been able to capture the exact ldglite command line and temporary .ldr file used by lpub to render a single part for the BOM. Lpub seems to delete them, and I'm not sure if I can keep (...) (19 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) It's not your eyes. I think this artifact is visible in *every* parts box. Maybe a bug in ldGLite when rendering a single part? The single parts are also clipped on the left side, the leftmost edge line is missing (or at least thinned) (...) (19 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Thanks! (although I thought I asked for LDLite, but I forget, besides this one is multiplatform!) Overall it looks great! However I have a nit, (perhaps???)... In (for example) (URL) this> image: (URL) I'm wondering: is there a bit of an (...) (19 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) After some fixes in LPub, I got ldGlite renderer working with LPub! The images are comparable to LDView, but ldGlite renders blindingly fast! I rendered all the images for pedmatic in less than 5 minutes. Amazing. (URL) seems to be a bit of a (...) (19 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub and LDView working better. It looks awesome!

(...) I just rendered James' car.dat and it looked good when the transparent parts are in the model with other bricks, but when I render the transparent parts individually for PLIs, they come up blank. Thanks, Kevin (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub and LDView working better. It looks awesome!

Re: LPub and LDView working better. It looks awesome!

(...) You're welcome. Just to check, LDView still doesn't generate exactly the same viewing angle as L3P, right? (That was next on my list of things to fix.) Also, it's worth noting that the -SaveAlpha=1 command line setting in LDView 3 might have (...) (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub and LDView working better. It looks awesome!

(...) If you were having trouble getting good renders I certainly could see why you wouldn't like it! But these tired eyes have lots of trouble with instructions even WITH the thick black edge lines. (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub and LDView working better. It looks awesome!

(...) new LSynth soon so people can have this fix. Travis sent me a updated beta LDView, so I re-rendered pedmatic, and all the hoses look great. IMHO, LDView (and soon ldglite) is a superior solution to POV-RAY and MEGAPOV. The MEGAPOV solution is (...) (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) This bug in LPub (requiring POV-Ray) will be fixed *very* soon. I've been wrestling with ldglite as well, but I'm having problems getting the command line option for saving the file and exiting does not seem to work (or, more probably, I've (...) (19 years ago, 16-May-05, to lugnet.cad)
