Looks cool. It also exposes a bug and a missing feature/possibly bug in the
current LDView releases. LDView doesn't properly support files in
subdirectories inside an MPD (such as s\). It also doesn't detect primitives
inside the MPD, since the files don't come from the ldraw\p directory. So I
added support for recognizing the comments that show up in primitives and
treating them accordingly. (Many of the primitives in there have comments that
are being parsed by LDView and causing it to decide the primitives themselves
are parts. The comments that tag files as parts also show up in primitives.
This is undesirable.)
Hopefully I'll have a public LDView 3 Release Candidate out very soon. It's
just about ready. I want to coordinate with Peter (the person working on the
Linux version) to have a proper dual-platform release, but the Linux version is
in good shape also. I just need to scan my notes and bug reports to make sure I
didn't forget anything, and also do some further personal testing.
I do apologize that it's been so long since the LDView 3 Beta 1 release. I got
pulled away from working on it for a while, so it went untouched for a few
months. I hoped to have the official release out quite awhile ago.
