Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) Actually, I added a MessageBox call to the very beginning of LDView so that I could attach a debugger. It never showed up, and L3P ran and generated POV files, so I really don't think it's running LDView for me. (...) I'll take a look. (...) (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Dat file for x1201 1x1 plate with tooth

Hello all! Has anyone a self-made dat file for the 1x1 tooth plate or any good substitute for that part? This is the part: (URL) I would be glad for any help. Best greetings, Chris (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.announce, FTX)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) LPub has LDView render popped down, so you don't see the window pop up. I was trying to render (URL) using LDView. Not only is there a problem with the lens angle and such, LDView doesn't handle hoses generated by LSynth very well. They look (...) (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) Hi Kevin. I want to fix LDView so that the camera angle and what-not matches the L3P output as closely as possible. However, I can't seem to get LPub to use LDView as a renderer. I select LDView.exe from the list on the Renderer tab, and then (...) (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.2 available (was: LPub 2.3 available)

(...) LPub 2.3.0.2 is available. It fixes the problem Philo discovered with transparency and layouts. Kevin (19 years ago, 14-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: CCW vs CW

(...) If it's not a whole lot of trouble, I would recommend it. (The conversion can be made automatic, as long as the individual files clearly state CW or CCW correctly.) Speaking as a computer graphics professional, I can say for sure that being (...) (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, FTX)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) Hi Kevin, Is this really a problem? It strikes me that this is the 'proper' behaviour for a 24bit raytraced image. I would prefer an option to switch off the alpha as sometimes I may wish to use this feature (eg. if I had a white background (...) (19 years ago, 13-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  CCW vs CW

The (URL) Language Extension for Clipping (BFC)> states in the Parts Library Guidelines section that Primitives should always use CCW winding. However some of the primitives use CW, for example (URL) rect.dat>. Should these be rewritten? Would it be (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, FTX)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) It does it... and well: (URL) (composited with Photoshop) (...) OK... I hope you'll get that working, I tend to prefer LDView style for instructions (should be faster too). Ah, another minor point: it would be nice if LPub remembered the last (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) Hi Philo, That is very interesting. I'll try these cases here. It looks like POV-Ray is providing an alpha channel that is not completely opaque. I didn't think it did this. It should be easy to fix I think. (...) The LDView and LDGLight parts (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

Hi Kevin, (...) It does, at least for me. But I have problems with transparent parts in the layouts: (URL) the POVed images are OK: (URL) with a nice background color see through. Another problem is that I can't get LDView generate meaningful (...) (19 years ago, 12-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) No, I don't. Is that something that POV-ray creates? I'm only running v3.1 (with megapov), should I upgrade to to 3.6? ROSCO (19 years ago, 11-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) It is not recognizing your POV-Ray.... hmmmm..... Are the POV-Ray registry entries still there? That is what LPub looks for. HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software\POV-Ray\v3....ndows\Home Do you have such a thing? (...) Kevin (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) Thanks. My installation has encountered a hiccup. I uninstalled the old version, and installed 2.3, but when I ran it, I got a dialog with EAccessViolation. So I uninstalled again, this time removing the directory entirely (it wasn't deleted (...) (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.3 available

(...) I uninstalled the previous version. LPub 2.2 was developed under C++Builder5, and LPub 2.3 under C++Builder6. UNinstalling will give you a chance to discard the shared libraries that may no longer be needed on your system. (...) Kevin (19 years ago, 10-May-05, to lugnet.cad)
