  Re: Renderer Questions

(...) Good! Please nobody claim it as their own for the MOTM or SOTM. =) I wanted to wander around in the restaurant and I played with converting it to VRML, but I wasn't able to get the VRML converter to quite finish the job (the story of my life (...)   Ghost bug in 3.11

I discovered when rendering with ldglite that it doesn't ignore commands like 0 CLEAR and 0 STEP in submodels even when MLCad does. (Odd, considering it does recognize submodels.) Hopefully the next version of LPub will eliminate that problem by (...) (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Kevin- I posted the earlier question on the wrong thread. Sorry. (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

Kevin- Have you any designs you posted on Brickshelf; and if so, could you give me the link? (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Renderer Questions

(URL) What? 15 Dollarz? hahahahaha, great fun. Should've used some more light sources and a few minifigs, but had to render this quick and dirty. Comes to mind, with all these render issues, how about yet another kind of contest: everybody gets the (...) (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Problem to synthesize Rubber Tread

(...) I wrote a little tutorial about mlcad and lsynth: (URL) may helps. w. (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem to synthesize Rubber Tread

(...) Heh, that'll teach ya to allow ordinary parts as constraints. You need really some cool constraints with colored bullseyes, and arrows, and transparent sides, and all that stuff... Enjoy, Don (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem to synthesize Rubber Tread

(...) Gustavo, The two constraints don't affect each other, so two groups of four tries is sufficient. The other thing to try is flip the constraint around, so that the other face of the wheel faces you. You might have to rotate 90, 180, 270 from (...) (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Problem to synthesize Rubber Tread

Thank you Kevin I tried all combinations, 0,90,180,270 degrees for both constraints, in total sixteen alternative, and it didn't work (URL) suggestion. Best Regards Gustavo (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Beta testers?

(...) Vineet, As Chris pointed out...... I answered this before......the very first time you asked the question. Put your cursor in the POV-Ray control window. Use the File->Close All menu item. It should close all the open pov files. Did you try to (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Beta testers?

Kevin- When I'm rendering my design, the window that allows you to run the rendering comes up. Mine is clogged with other rendering designs (des.1, des.2, etc). Do you know how to clear it up? (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Beta testers?

Hi, I've been doing a lot of work on LPub over the last few months (its about time!), and I was looking for Beta testers. So far Mike and Rosco have voluneteered. The changed to LPub are all related to building instruction image generation. Some (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Howto on : BFC "Hold" on 47457.dat

Re: Howto on : BFC "Hold" on 47457.dat

(...) This has nothing (well, almost nothing) to do with BFC, but your tube on the underside of the part should use stud4a, up to the point where the tube meets main part. (...) Chris Dee explained the basic process tracking down non-compliant (...) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Howto on : BFC "Hold" on 47457.dat

(...) It's a bug in L3Lab - it assumes the top-level file is BFC by default. Since most model files will naturally be BFC-compliant, this works great for viewing models. But it doesn't work correctly for viewing part files directly. Steve (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: 3 x 2 Wedge Plates

(...) Thanks for the direction. I really though I had done something wrong with setting up my parts lib. I'll give Peeron a try in the future as well. (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Howto on : BFC "Hold" on 47457.dat

(...) Hummm... aside from the apparent L3Lab bug, how DO I make 47457.dat BFC compliant? I'm sure the process is more than just flipping the image around to see if any red shows up. (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Gustavo, Try rotating the left constraint 90 degrees about the axle and resynthesize until it is fixed. Then do the same with the right constraint. Kevin (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)
