  Re: Question about Java3D

(...) Read this. (URL) you want to consider using OpenGL instead since many implementations of java 3D are built on top of OpenGL. You can take any new OpenGL skills you learn with you to other languages. Don (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Question about Java3D

I'm considering learning Java and the Java3D API. The only official distros for Java3D I can find are for Windows and Solaris. My question is does anyone know how portable the Java3D extension is? Dos anyone have any experience with Java3D in a (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: color, contrast and brightness problems - any idea?

(...) I get a lot of bightness/contrast variation on my notebook's screen based on what angle I view the screen. For instance, in the picture you link to above I saw white but with very little adjustment to the angle of the screen I also saw pink. (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Gamma correction (was Re: color, contrast and brightness problems - any idea?)

(...) Basically, the problem you're seeing is that Windows does no gamma correction, and your two machines have different monitor gammas. (see (URL) for an explanation) To fix this, in theory, you basically have to calculate your current monitor's (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Very nice. It tells me when there are missing parts! (URL) it displays the Star Destroyer much better... meaning it displays more than 1 part, which is what 2.2b1 did.   Re: color, contrast and brightness problems - any idea?

(...) One thing you can do is try to make your notebook match the CRT. Turn down the brightness and/or contrast some. I don't know if you have this option on your notebook, but all freestanding monitors have some controls built in to them which (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) Hi Leonardo, 103a, 103b and 103c are all in the original LDraw library, and haven't been changed since 1997. You'll have to grab a copy of ldraw027.exe/.zip to get them. Steve (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

color, contrast and brightness problems - any idea?

Hi all, I have a problem and no idea hox to fix it. I'm working on a notebook with active tft-display. Rendered pictures seem to be brilliant with enough brightness and contrast.
