One thing you can do is try to make your notebook match the CRT. Turn down
the brightness and/or contrast some. I don't know if you have this option
on your notebook, but all freestanding monitors have some controls built in
to them which enables you to change contrast, brightness, screen geometry,
and colors. If your laptop has these options, look into the color settings
and turn up the red, or turn down the green and blue. That may make it look
less pink. Typically, monitors are set to have less blue than green, and
less green than red. But try different things with your screen colors and
compare it to a CRT.
I have a flat screen monitor, and when I first got it, the colors were set
at their highest. I had to turn the blue and green down some to give a more
typical "temperature."
Hope this helps!

| Hi all, I have a problem and no idea hox to fix it. I'm working on a notebook with active tft-display. Rendered pictures seem to be brilliant with enough brightness and contrast. Whenever I see one of these pictures on a PC with CRT I'm shocked. (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)
