  Three new British Wagons

I thought that I would announce my first MOCs for a long time as I have been building these on and off for a while now. Most of my modelling is done in MLCAD and then translated to real brick as A: I'm rebuilding my house and my Lego is stored; B: I (...)   MLCAD Spanish translation BETA

Hi all, It's been a long time since I promised Michael that I would translate MLCad 3 into Spanish. I am finally releasing the BETA .DLL. Please download it from (URL) I've recruited the help of the Spanish Lego community (which uses yahoo groups (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, FTX)

Re: Fwd from a builder: Colors don't match, among other things!

(...) This article is a quite interesting read. What jumped out at me was the mention that different colors of ABS have different specific gravities (within a small overall range). I wonder if the saline solution would have a detrimental effect on (...) (21 years ago, 16-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.db.brictionary, lugnet.cad, lugnet.market.theory)

  Train Weight 73090

Hi all, Just noticed there's 2 different versions of this part, see my comparison pic (URL) my new ones seem to be the top type, with base that looks like 2x6 plate. Older versions seem to be the other type, which looks like 2 1x6 plates, and is the (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Part 298c01

To the best of my knowledge, part 4593 (Lever Small) has only ever appeared in black, gray, white, and yellow. This suggests to me that part 298c01 should be renamed ". . . with Black Lever"; it also suggests that c02,3, and 4 could reasonably be (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: RENDER Re: Short Hover Bus MOC

Er, is this done with Anton's library? Very good rendering! Can I have the POV? Jeroen "Travis" <phree@comcast.net> wrote in message news:HoE39I.17Kp@lugnet.com... (...) proud to (...) bus. (...) as (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: RENDER Re: Short Hover Bus MOC

Hehe... check out lugnet.cad.ray. The appropiate POVRay settings have been discussed there very detailed for real looking renders like that. Play well Carsten "David "Fuzzy" Gregory" <crazylegoman@earthlink.net> schrieb im Newsbeitrag (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: RENDER Re: Short Hover Bus MOC

Never mind--I guess it IS a render. (I obviously haven't been keeping up with the CAD posts.) I went to digitalbrick.nl and saw it for myself. Even at 1280X1024 resolution, the only way I knew it was a render and not real was the lack of the word (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: RENDER Re: Short Hover Bus MOC

Wait a minute, you're saying that that dump truck picture is a render?! (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: RENDER Re: Short Hover Bus MOC

(...) I think your bus is great as it is, it wouldn't look out of place in the Fifth Element. The yellow is a nice shade, did you do anything in particular there? It is possible that the render may be a little dark, difficult to say for sure though (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

RENDER Re: Short Hover Bus MOC

  Re: Part 791.DAT Window 1 x 6 x 5 Shutter too short

(...) I cannot guarantee to check LUGNET daily (esp. during the week) and by the time I saw your original message, the fix had been posted. I am quite happy for you to make the box5 changes - so please do so. This will give me more time to (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144

(...) Yes, please use a new three-digit-number. You are correct that you cannot re-use one of these once is has been used in an official release - even if moved later. Chris (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144

(...) I have a near complete mock-up for the x144. Should I give it one of my x-numbers? (approx. x531) I'm not sure we can use x144 since there was a part that had originally used 144.(it has since been moved to a correct number) Anyone have a (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: looking for .DAT file of propellor as used in set 8855 (1988)

(...) Robert, I remember seeing a photo of this part on someone's web site some time ago, maybe 2 to 3 years ago... I thought they had number associated with it. I had kept a copy of the photo on my computer back then. Several PC rebuilds later, I (...) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Wanted: Windscreen 41881 & x144

(...) Well, NOW I see what you mean. I still disagree :) Both parts are based on the same design concept, however the "Slave I" windscreen is so much bigger that I would hardly call both parts "almost the same". Little hook? A difference of "4" in (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad)
