Re: Star Wars mini models 1st wave render

Orion, Nice work! Excellent job of lighting in that photo. Having no shadows really gave it a sense of realism, instead of just making it seem like a bunch of models on display. Amazing what changing the spot lightsources to ambient sources will (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Star Wars mini models 1st wave render & Orange in part

(...) It is dark blue. In fact that's the darkest I can get it wiht LDraw color number since I used dithered Black and Blue. (...) Unfortunately no (...) I used 484. 25 seemed too dark. -Orion (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Star Wars mini models 1st wave render & Orange in part

(...) Looks nice, esp. the AT-ST. Colors seem wrong on the Slave I (I think the blue should be dark blue). Missing the TIE Bomber, though. Are the cylinders for the TIE Bomber up yet? Question related to another topic: what color orange did you use (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dev)

Star Wars mini models 1st wave render

Well, between Donald Sutter and myself all the parts, including patterns, used in sets 4484, 4485, 4486, 4487 have been modelled and are offical or on the Parts Tracker. I got bored and made a render of the the Mini's in the same picture: (URL) a (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: LDraw Color for Maersk Blue?

(...) Well I find myself doing yet another color comparison. Here's some pictures: (URL) L3P (URL) LDView Left is color 497 (White and Blue dither) Middle is 505 (White and Light Blue dither) Right is 507 (White and Cyan dither) Based on these 2 I'd (...)   LDraw Color for Maersk Blue?

Does anyone know the LDraw color index for Maersk Blue? I have looked around but was unable to find it online. Todd's color chart shows it as unknown. (URL) Mike Walsh - mike_walsh at mindspring.com (URL) - North Carolina LEGO Train Club (URL) - (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Orange in LDraw

(...) I personally prefer 484 over both 25 & 462, although this may be an optical trick (brain sees a progression, and logically picks the middle color as the correct color). But 462 is defintely too yellowish. John P.S. I FTXed Orion's message. (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

  Ldglite 1.0

I couldn't come up with any more excuses, so I've finally released version 1.0 of ldglite. I was holding off until it could pretty much duplicate all the functionality of ldlite, ldraw, and ledit. As far as I can tell it's all there, plus some other (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDGLite outputting gobble-dee-goo to terminal window

(...) Ok, I might've fixed all of this. If not, I'll have to make a 1.1 release real soon because I couldn't wait any longer. Ldglite has finally reached 1.0. Give the OS X executable a spin and see what I missed. (URL) the way, Tom Bozzo sent me a (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Orange in LDraw

I did a color comparison of the color orange in LDraw: (URL) brick on the left is the current LDraw color 462 The brick in the middle is color 484, the dither of Yellow and Red (the dither of Red and Yellow, 334, is currently defined as Gold Chrome) (...)   PT Update Times (Was: 44567)

(...) While were on this topic, has there been any progress on making the PT update more often? Not that this is an urgent issue but it would be darn convenient if it were every 15 min or less. -Orion (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: LEdit Command line question  [DAT]

(...) The only way to do this with LEdit is to create your own part file, consisting of one line: 1 16 0 -24 20 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 3001.dat If you store that file in your ldraw\parts directory, you can use it in LEdit as a part, in place of 3001.dat.
