Re: Create only BOM and parts used in LPub

(...) Hi Jaco, I'm doing this from memory because I don't have LPub in front of me, but.... Go to the Building Instructions tab, then the Steps sub-tab. Uncheck the Construction Images check box. Pull down the Generate->Instruction Images menu. (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Create only BOM and parts used in LPub

Hi, Is it possible to just generate part images or the BOM image, without having to render the complete model? Jaco (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Building LDGLite for off-screen rendering only

(...) that did it. I still had to manually add the -L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/local/lib/pth, but that's ok. coool :) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Building LDGLite for off-screen rendering only

(...) Nothing comes to mind right away except maybe the png and zlib header files in the ldglite zip file might conflict with whatever versions you've actually got installed. I originally put them there for the windows build and have been meaning to (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Building LDGLite for off-screen rendering only

hmmm. Trying to actually put this into place - we're running into a segfault: ldglite -s.85 -q -i1 -MS3033.png 3033.dat GL_VERSION = 1.4 Mesa 5.0.1 GL_EXTENSIONS = GL_ARB_depth_texture GL_ARB_imaging GL_ARB_multisample GL_ARB_multitexture (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: easy pattern creator?

(...) Sure, I'd like to try and make it better, but I don't know if I can until I see the source. If it's delphi code I won't be able to build it, but I still may be able to contribute. Based on the output, it looks like bmp2ldraw32 already has most (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: easy pattern creator?

Hello Don, well. i am thinking of making it available inside the LDDP package/project. If i would make it open source would you like to participate and make it better? Play well Carsten (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: easy pattern creator?

(...) Hey, is the source to BMP2LDRAW or BMP2LDRAW32 available? I know some really nifty edge tracking algorithms from way back when I used to do image processing that might come in handy here to remove the jaggies. Don (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: easy pattern creator?

(...) I think for quick and dirty patterns, this is a fine approach. It works best with patterns that are monochromatic, I think. For things like minifig torsos it may not work as well as sitting down and figuring out the polygons would. Plus, as (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Hejhej, we're talking about my first born here :) Please have a look: (URL) must be one of the best looking patterns ever. But then, you are right about the file size: it's about 92Kb....I thought this probably was a bit large. I think the (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: easy pattern creator?

(...) One thing to keep in mind -- parts created with BMP2LDRAW32 (or any other bitmap-to-LDraw converter) are not really encouraged. They're very handy when you need a part quickly, but the quality of the pattern is usually not the best, and the (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.cad)

BR50 now done as ML-CAD drawing and rendered....

Hi all! the amount of positive feedback on my first CAD-models encouraged me to do a further model in ML-CAD now. It took nearly 7 hours to draw the existing model of my 7-wide BR50. Especially the flexible hose generator took me some time, before I (...) (21 years ago, 27-May-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad, lugnet.announce.moc) !
