A few ideas to toss around.

Hello, I've been having a lot of fun recently trying out new lighting arrangements in my CAD models. The results have been pleasing, but not all that easy for someone as unfamiliar with the POV language as I am. I've found the easiest way to set up (...) (22 years ago, 12-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Inlineing subparts program

(...) Yes, this shouldn't be too hard. I'll also do a standalone as well. -Orion (22 years ago, 12-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Inlineing subparts program

(...) Orion, YES!! I'm very interested in this! Like yourself I often build my models with many sub-parts! Can this be made into a plug-in for LDDP? ROSCO (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: ldglite, new glut, and l3p (and lsynth)

(...) Hey, now that you're back in the loop, maybe you could spend a few minutes and see if the lsynth stuff works on the mac. Look here for the scoop on an executable for OSX. (URL) addition, you'll probably need the lsynth parts, the example, and (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Lego colors compared to PANTONE (TM) or HKS

(...) I finished being a grad student last year, but I still think I might be able to use a spectrometer. :-) But I don't think we have one in the lab where I work now. :-( I will check it, when my LEGO arrives in town.   Re: Inlineing subparts program

Sure! All tools are always welcome. And indeed, if you can filter out part files to not inline them, that would be great! Jaco "Orion Pobursky" <bilthefish@IHATESPAMyahoo.com> schreef in bericht news:HA4qLC.3HM@lugnet.com... (...) I (...) to (...) (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Inlineing subparts program

A while back I developed a program to inline all the subparts in a model. I did this since I have a tendency to create models with 30+ subparts and subparts imbedded in subparts. It's very tedious to find and inline all these subparts so I wrote a (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad)

Level B Simplification - LDraw Boxer

Level B Simplification: Replace with plain boxes only those parts that has all its studs and inside totally hidden by other parts. I've just finished a program that scans for all non-transparent parts that has their studs and bottoms covered with (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

ldglite, new glut, and l3p. Good stuff.

Hi! Its been a while since I've worked with ldglte on my Mac, or with any LDraw-related things in general, so I've been sort of out of the loop. Please forgive any redundant comments I make, and the haphazard organization of this post. Thanks! OK, (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: 9V point geometry

(...) ... After some conversation with Ludo Soete, I created a geometric construction to prove that the 9V point curve can be created from the same circle radius as the 9V track, without any straight sections. I did this by modeling this Track (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

First Lego Classics poster ready (at last!)

Hi all, This weekend the first picture for a Lego Classic poster finished rendering. It took some time but the result is very nice. The models are build and the scene is composed by Jan Folkersma. (...) Well, it seems like you're off to a good start. (...) First thing you have to know is that you can set up a scene which would work fine in real life and not render properly in POV or any other program. This is because real lightning and (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)
