  Re: Viewing Datsville

(...) Thanks for the help! When (if) I get it working I'll make a post. Jimmy (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Segmented parts (ie hoses and flex tubes)

(...) This sounds like a good idea to me, except for one thing: the 0 LDRAW_ORG lines are generated at release-time by the release script. Every type listed is determined by other data in the file, or about the file -- parts are in the /parts (...) (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Viewing Datsville

(...) The main file is Town.ldr The subfiles of Town.ldr are 15 separate sections, unfortunately not as modular as the Moonbase Project for example, and Townpeep.ldr with some people and vehicles. I have made a map over the Town??.ldr submodels: (...) (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Segmented parts (ie hoses and flex tubes)

Looking at some of the files generated using the new curve generator LDDesignPad plugin by Orion (as well as files generated by the EMacs macro it is based on), I noticed a problem when displaying with LDView (which might also effect L3P output).   Re: Viewing Datsville

(...) Is your Dasville renderable. I was looking through the files last night and nothing looked like the "main" file to render. The reason I ask is that I'm working on a program that will composite many different images into a single image. I'ld (...) (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: Ldglite bug report (Was: Portable Ldraw system)

(...) Take a look at this thread at OpenGL.org: (URL) short summary is that you apparently can't guarantee it will work on all cards, but if you set things up right, you can get it to work on most cards. In addition, it may be that cards that don't (...) (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Viewing Datsville

(...) I have no ftp access to the Datsville pages, and I don't think I want that either. The hours I spend on renaming, inlining, extracing, and tagging Datsville files is mainly to make it easier for myself to use them. Then why do I publish the (...)   Re: Yet another idea - Portable LDraw system

(...) Go for it. :) I was taking the approach of grepping the part files for author names, and boiling the list down from there. Steve (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: New LDDesignPad Plugin

(...) :) (...) lol. My first experience with a PC was my Pascal class (CS120, maybe?). Turbo Pascal on floppy, using dual floppy IBM PCs (at the time, "IBM PC" was redundant), DOS 2.0. Steve "old man" Bliss (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: New LDDesignPad Plugin

(...) Actually this is what I was planning to do. I just have to learn a little more about Delphi (The last formal programming class I took was Advanced Pascal using the DOS version of Borland Turbo Pascal). -Orion (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Part 3650a

Does anyone remember with certainty why part file 3650a.dat was released with the 'a' suffix? The part came out in update 98-10, and hasn't been touched since. There's no 3650.dat or 3650b.dat, as far as I can tell. Steve (22 years ago, 23-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: DAT files: Do No Harm
