(...) Quad2Dat supports primitives, although I think at the moment for a full ring it writes it out as 4-4ringX.dat Just trying to be consistent with the disc & ndis primitives. (...) Wow, the l3 parser is much faster even when comments are being written to the console, but the behavior is the same. The model is rotating on the Lego rotisserie always in the same direction. (...) I like the idea of absolute based on the zoom. So, at 100% zoom, 100 pixels will rotate it x degrees. At 50% zoom, 100 pixels will rotate it by x/2 degrees. Just my idea. I don't know if it would actually be nicer or not. James (22 years ago, 11-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

I've had to create a new torus primitive for the Boba Fett/Jango Fett helmet/jetpack. The radius for the center of the ring is one (of course. they all are, if you follow ldraw format). This is a great idea, and something I wish would have been around when I first got started. Very helpful. One slight criticism, however: I can't count the number of times someone has had to ask LUGNETters about their "missing" parts libraries, and (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad)
