  Re: Circular Primitives

(...) Don't worry about replying to my previous post, I have downloaded Jonathan Wilson's excellent program and it works fine. thanks for all the help. John (24 years ago, 10-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad)

  ldraw.org off-line from 8:00 to 8:30 (Danish time)

I move the ldraw.org server to a proper server room in a moment. Expect half an hour of downtime. Play well, Jacob (24 years ago, 10-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: "33" Slope Shocker... Possible name change?

(...) Ouch. Now that is some number. I looked it up in both the Windows Calculator and AutoCAD 2000 (expanding tolerance out to the smallest decimal -- hundred millionths) to find out the your large figure rings true.   Re: polaris (7161 gungan sub alternate)

Good job Joseph! I have yet to purchase the Gungan sub, but it definitely doesn't seem very alternate friendly (too many slopes and plate), or am I mistaken? BTW The alternate reminds me of the Starship Enterprise from Star Trek... hehehe! ;-) (...) (24 years ago, 9-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Circular Primitives

(...) Thanks for that, i managed to do that and it looks a lot better. Just one more thing for now, I take it that to make ends for the 'tube' I use '1-4disc.dat' but how do i manipulate it, whenever I change any values it goes haywire. I'd be (...) (24 years ago, 9-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad)

Re: "33" Slope Shocker... Possible name change?

This problem has (probably) been realized by a number of people in the last few years; I figured it out (or was it pointed out to me?) a few months ago. Yes, I am planning on doing a mass name-change, but after the automated Parts-Tracker is up and (...) (24 years ago, 9-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Circular Primitives

(...) You can try using the 48-segment primitives in the ldraw/p/48 directory. The cylinder primitive is 1-4cyli.dat. The easiest way to code this up is in a text editor, but you should be able to do it through MLCAD as well. The code to make a (...) (24 years ago, 9-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Problem using difference

(...) Well Travis, This one could have some error messages that may be appearing. I have been rendering most of the day today and have seen many different error messages. An example that works for me is; difference{ box{<-60,-5,70>,<50,70,-30> #if (...) (24 years ago, 9-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

"33" Slope Shocker... Possible name change?

Greetings. I have made a new discovery that may seem all too obvious to everyone else who has actually programmed elements in LDraw or MLCAD. My discovery is as follows: All bricks listed as having a 33-degree slope are not named with correct (...) (24 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

  New site with renderings

Hi, after having read this newsgroup for some time, I've finally decided to come out with my small set of renderings. All renderings are done with POVRAY using my own libraries (except the colors which are taken from an LDraw export). The gallery is (...) (24 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Does this part exist?

Hey all... Not even sure what to call this. Look at the back end of the 6771 Ogel Command Striker model...see the dark grey bits holding the flames in place? They're sort of like the old-style, red Expert Builder bushings, but on one end, instead of (...) (24 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Circular Primitives

hi, I have been using mlcad for just over two months, so i'm not fully clued up yet. I need to make a part which is a wide diameter cylinder. I have managed to do so by creating a 24 sided polygon and extruding it. However due to its size, the (...) (24 years ago, 7-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Problem using difference

Sorry about the image size. I've uploaded two larger images with a different view point. I've also included an image of the full model. The difference statement is as follows: difference{ object { Scimitr2_dot_dat } box { <40,-43,-360>,<350,85,280> (...) (24 years ago, 7-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: HTML help with printable parts catalog

Patrick, If you are using the HTML Table command, then try adding Border=0 and Cellpadding=0 and Cellspacing=0 inside the Table command. This will minimize the border, and also the extra space within the cells. <TABLE border=0 cellpadding=0 (...) (24 years ago, 7-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Problem using difference

(...) I have done quite a bit of this type of thing, but it has been awhile. I could not tell anything from your pictures. Can you maybe render them a little larger? and perhaps give us an example of what your difference statement looks like. Paul (24 years ago, 7-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: printable parts catalog

Ran into a problem with the HTML tables: the tables add a whole lot of space per page. I only did the first couple lines, and it takes almost twice the vertical space. So that's out, unless somebody can show me how to get around that. We've got (...) (24 years ago, 7-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Unplanned downtime for ldraw.org

Some jerk has pulled out a cable from the ldraw.org server, so the machine will be off-line for at least two more hours, and maybe until tomorrow morning (DK time). Play well, Jacob -- Beware of the system operator... (24 years ago, 6-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
