Re: possible error in the usage of part 80.dat  [DAT]

(...) hmmm, it appears to be you are correct. with measuring a long piece I come to 3 LDU for the small part if I use 3 LDU for the notch. It just seemed strange to me that I couldn't intertwine the notches of 2 hoses yet the dat files show that (...) (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  LEGO Alpha team parts

I heard from one of my friends that LEGO *might* produce a collectors key-chain for some of the charictors from LEGO Alpha team. Seeing as there might be *real* LEGO Alpha Team minifigs cooming soon, I thought it may be fun to see if anyone could (...) (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: possible error in the usage of part 80.dat

(...) I don't know what the "correct" way to use the 80.DAT is. In 78.DAT they are put so that they overlap by 0.4LDU. Yes, they do overlap in 78.DAT. This makes the distance between the "thick parts" 3.6 - 0.4 = 3.2. The width of the notches is (...) (24 years ago, 18-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

help!! what color code is "burgundy"?

I need a dithered color code for "burgundy", the purple-brown color of the vest worn by the "bare chested Pirate". All of the color codes I've tried for this subfile ("(URL) don't look quite right.   Re: LDLite Question

(...) OK... (...) Nope, not if you want to view it "upside down". (Bad wording.) When we say "rotate about the [whatever] axis", we mean "hold the model *by*that*axis*, and spin by however many degrees". Now, when modifying the rotation matrix (...) (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad)

  LDLite Question

I think this is the correct group for this question, if not, please direct me appropriately. Can anyone help me understand the arguments to LDLite's "-A" switch. I want to view my model upside down, so essentially I want to rorate it 180 degrees (...) (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Ldraw.organization (was: License revision 1)

(...) As a somewhat innocent bystander, I'd like to see it stay LDraw.org, which is why I used the LDraw family of applications to refer to programs which will ultimately derrive from the work James started. (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: License - again

(...) Tim will have to correct us, but I believe that James's family has given Tim permission to continue publishing James's work. This is probably something which should be properly ironed out with the Jessiman's. They will have to decide to what (...) (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Upgrading to Windows 2000 Professional

Any Win32 based software package should function great. IE ML-Cad. However LDraw most likely will not run due to the DOS mode that will make direct hardware calls. I'm currently running Windows 2000 on another computer and was playing with ML-Cad on (...) (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Ldraw.organization

(...) Right. But if something new and plainly better (in all aspects) comes along, we can as easily label it "LDraw Mk II" as any other name. Assuming the author(s) would go along willingly, of course. :) Steve (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Ldraw.organization (was: License revision 1)

(...) And I'd still be happy to include the results of that effort under the LDraw umbrella. I think Jacob still has documents on his server about "LDraw II". But we don't need to write a new format -- it's already there. Heck, there are a bunch of (...) (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Upgrading to Windows 2000 Professional

I'm about to upgrade my operating system from Win95 to Win2K. Has anyone done this yet, and are there issues with the common LCAD software that I ought to be aware of?
