  Re: new lego-cad part - x469.dat (Roadsign Clip-on 2 x 2 Round)

If I remember correctly, I subfiled the clip-on portion for the octagonal and triangular clip-on signs. Not a big deal, but you could use the subfile on yours for consistency. -John Van "Franklin W. Cain" <fwcain@yahoo.com> wrote in message (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Large-ish Scoop  [DAT]

I was playing around with the idea of Bussard collectors, and I came up with this. Not terribly clever, and it isn't a complete buildable object (there's nothing holding it together), it uses a couple of big cheater pieces, and has unrealistic (...)   Re: Wires anyone?

(...) Manfred Moolhuysen made a subpart that can be used to compose a curved electrical wire. I believe he has submitted it for voting, but I don't think he has posted it to the newsgroups. I have edited LDraw-mode for Emacs to support easy (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: bend thingie creator.

Wow! This thing is incredible. This program doesn't just turn a bunch of subparts, it actually creates the axle out of triangles. The output is beautiful! It was missing the edgelines, though. Any chance you could add support for electric wires? (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Note the "follow-up" redirected to "o/t.geek"... (...) I don't know if it can be done at all for a folder proper. I do know that it can be done to a _shortcut_ (for a folder or other item).   Just a simple question

It may be not related to lego but is about M$ Windows folders I read one day that it was possible to change a folder's icon for a custom icon. Does any know how to do it? (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Darth Maul minifig head - a work in progress

(...) First of all, because of the requirement for backwards-compatibility with MS-DOS "8+3" limits on filenames, this filename is too long. I suggest calling it "3626b-dm.dat" for now. [snip] (...)   Darth Maul minifig head - a work in progress  [DAT]

  Wires anyone?

Has anyone tried to make the flexible electric wires that run between the electric elements? I have a bunch of these to do, and I'd like to find the best (easiest/fastest/nicest looking) way to do them. -John Van (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Darth Maul minifig head - hints and tips?

ACK! That's gonna be a toughie! Good luck. One of my little "secrets" is that I often "draw" the face in a two-dimensional image (i.e., Z = -13 for all points on this preliminary image), and then check the "Front View" box in MLCAD to make sure the (...)   Re: File Naming Protocol for Patterned Parts

This is a proposal for a new meta-statement/header line for parts files. I'm hanging this off the pattern-id discussion, because it relates to patterned parts. The basic idea is this: right now, there are three ways to see if there is a relation (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
