  At last 360 degrees panoramas

That right I made my first lego 360 degrees panorama check if out at (URL) now you will need to get a plugin for it. (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Wires anyone?

(...) Manfred Moolhuysen made a subpart that can be used to compose a curved electrical wire. I believe he has submitted it for voting, but I don't think he has posted it to the newsgroups. I have edited LDraw-mode for Emacs to support easy (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: bend thingie creator.

Wow! This thing is incredible. This program doesn't just turn a bunch of subparts, it actually creates the axle out of triangles. The output is beautiful! It was missing the edgelines, though. Any chance you could add support for electric wires? (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Note the "follow-up" redirected to "o/t.geek"... (...) I don't know if it can be done at all for a folder proper. I do know that it can be done to a _shortcut_ (for a folder or other item). Here's how (for "shortcut" icons): Right-click on the (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Just a simple question

It may be not related to lego but is about M$ Windows folders I read one day that it was possible to change a folder's icon for a custom icon. Does any know how to do it? (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Darth Maul minifig head - a work in progress

(...) First of all, because of the requirement for backwards-compatibility with MS-DOS "8+3" limits on filenames, this filename is too long. I suggest calling it "3626b-dm.dat" for now. [snip] (...)   Darth Maul minifig head - a work in progress  [DAT]

OK, here's a the main part of the pattern (no quads between the pattern yet, and still the mouth, outer edges and eyes to do, plus the upper part of the pattern needs to be angled back instead of in a vertical plane!), any criticism you want to (...)   Wires anyone?

Has anyone tried to make the flexible electric wires that run between the electric elements? I have a bunch of these to do, and I'd like to find the best (easiest/fastest/nicest looking) way to do them. -John Van (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Implementing LDS in LDAO

(...) Probably. That's why I prefer the LDS way :) Also, with LDS you don't have to create separate source files. (...) I guess it would look something like the LDS Shell. An editor (like LDAO Editor) to the left and a rendering window to the (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Darth Maul minifig head - hints and tips?

ACK! That's gonna be a toughie! Good luck. One of my little "secrets" is that I often "draw" the face in a two-dimensional image (i.e., Z = -13 for all points on this preliminary image), and then check the "Front View" box in MLCAD to make sure the (...)   Re: File Naming Protocol for Patterned Parts

Is the location/URL of this documentation readily available to *new* (or forgetful) LCAD authors? Lately, I answered several (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: File Naming Protocol for Patterned Parts

This is a proposal for a new meta-statement/header line for parts files. I'm hanging this off the pattern-id discussion, because it relates to patterned parts. The basic idea is this: right now, there are three ways to see if there is a relation (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Darth Maul minifig head - hints and tips?

Just to let everyone know I'm tentatively starting the Darth Maul head, but as it's my first attempt at a part I'm going to wait until I've finished before sorting out the pattern number as I may not get chance to complete it. I've already done 1/4 (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: File Naming Protocol for Patterned Parts

Forward: I'd rather stick with using P as the patterned-element designator. Add letters to the suffix, to allow up to 1296 patterns per part. If this is not enough, then define another letter-designator in addition to the P. If we get 1500 patterns (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
