Re: New Part: 2x2 round tile with imperial logo

(...) Standard accepted practice in the parts authoring community is to *not* do this. That is, don't draw parts you don't actually have in front of you. That pic I posted is enough to tell that a part is "wrong" but not enough to tell that a part (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Bug in L3PAO when path deleted/renamed

(...) Now, once you've found it, can you write it to ldraw.ini, so everyone else can find it, too? (...) Heh. That wasn't bidding, not really. I don't think I raised anything more than once. Steve (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: New Part: 2x2 round tile with imperial logo

(...) Actually, I'm drawing it from memory, which isn't working quite as well as I hoped it would (I've got the set that it's from, but it's in storage right now). I'm sure that if I had a part or a good close-up pic or scan that I could work from (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Interesting Octagon Shape  [DAT]

Jamie (my 12yo son) discovered an interesting shape, using plate hinges. He built an octagonal shape, by putting hinge plates <part: 4275> and <part: 4276> onto a z-bracket <part: 6087>. He repeated this structure eight times, and fit it all (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

Re: New Part: 2x2 round tile with imperial logo

(...) Whoops, sorry about that! Well, I think it needs more work then. I can't find a really definitive picture, but if you look here: (URL) scroll to the roof view: (URL) will see that the black outer circle is significantly less than the tile (...)   Re: Repost: 4150imp.dat

(...) <snip> I am not a parts author so I could be all wet, but I just checked this out, and I still see what appear to possibly be errors. 5 "spokes" appear to have "wide flat arrows" pointing out, but one does not. Is that correct? (I don't have (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: 2x2 round tile with imperial logo

(...) I checked this part out, it looks distorted to me, is that due to the word wrap? I think the base color ring around the edge may be a good thing to have. Also, is anyone working on a decoration sort of similar to this one, I call it the (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: 2x2 round tile with imperial logo

New Part: 2x2 round tile with imperial logo  [DAT]

This one sort of speaks for it's self. Yes, I know that it doesn't have the tiny grey ring at the very outside, but if you ask me, that's pretty much un-necessary. I've decided not to do the "han solo in carbonite" piece... I'm not that good. Up (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Can anyone tell me where to get a small UFO top saucer section?

Hi, I found the underside of a saucer section in the standard parts release, but I can't find the upper side. Can anyone tell me its name (if its in the standard release) or where I can get it? I know a .dat file exists for it because I've seen it (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
