  Re: More newbie questions

(...) That's not exactly true. The original MPD spec did not require that all archived files be part of a single model. With the addition of path information on the 0 FILE statement, it is possible to throw a bunch of different files into an MPD. (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Voting Open for LCAD Parts Update 2000-02

(...) Nah, if it was a simple fix of the existing part, it wouldn't require voting. Look at the "fixes.txt" file for other changes that will be coming in 2000-02. (URL) Steve (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [part] Updated S\973S01.DAT

(...) Good points. So the neck-marked torso would be the first among many patterned torso parts. Sort of like the plain minifig head vs. the smiley-face minifig head.   Re: More newbie questions

(...) Just having a .reg that I can tinker with (inserting my own path info) would be very cool! Different people may have different wants/needs in regards to the 'default' application for DAT and MPD. This almost begs for a "LDraw Registration" (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: What happened to WWW.LDRAW.ORG?...

A traceroute is a command to find out what "route" a website takes over the Internet from the server to your machine and vice versa. When I am in the Netherlands at work, this is a part of my traceroute for ldraw.org looks like: ---...--- 7 400 ms (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Macintosh Ldraw part files.

Hi Ben. I tried downloading the stuff for Mac Ldraw, and I could never get anything to work. If you have gotten it to work on Mac, could you email me and give me a hand? Thanks, ~Mark (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Steering assembly DATs?

Anyone have a DAT file for a steering mechanism? I have put together a set of wheels that can be turned (as in steered) but because the model is not very wide, none of the parts I have are working.   Re: Voting Open for LCAD Parts Update 2000-02

I have one comment on the part "2079.dat - Technic Liftarm 1 x 9 Offset Cross". (URL) part is basically a "liftarm" type of element, and those usually have a cross axle hole in the origin. Take a look at 32140, for example, the 2x4 L-shaped liftarm. (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Voting Open for LCAD Parts Update 2000-02

  Re: A bug?

(...) MLCad is using a internal cache to increase loading speed. Once a part or sub- part has been loaded it's cached and will not be reloaded.   Macintosh Ldraw part files.

I just uploaded three parts files for the Macintosh. These are just the ldraw parts taken from a PC and repackaged with Stuffit.
