Mosaics (was: Re: New stuff at Legoland Kidvention)

(...) That sounds like great fun! I hope the prices are reasonable! BTW, if you want to play around with making your own brick (or plate) mosaics right now, LUGNET has a mosaic maker: (URL) LUGNET's "Mosaic Maker" application is completely unrelated (...)   Roads and craters

How do u get roads and craters in POV-RAY? I have made a hover shuttle that has to travel on old roads. and a moon base that has to well, go on a moon. HOW U DO THAT IN POVRAY?! The Order is powerful. The order is the Way (24 years ago, 15-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Bowlin' Fer Souls

(...) Link is good. I just checked it. The animations come in two flavors: Mediaplayer and Quicktime. And its the full 3 1/2 minutes of the cartoon. What can I say? -- Richard (24 years ago, 15-Jul-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Planes & Requirements for a generic download-tool

Ok I do not have a problem with http ... so as it looks we are going to use http with some informational files ... just for my understanding ... what the matter with ldraw.org and ftp ? Have I missed something ? Michael Steve Bliss (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: eliminating polygons?

(...) Thanks! I guess I'll have to get pretty involved in the in-to's and out's of part- making. I'm kind of lazy. I thought there might be an easy way of doing it. Anyway, I shouldn't infringe on the LDraw organization, since they're their parts, (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Hummer (7 wide)

(...) I too tried a 7 wide HUMMER but it failed. Try designing your as a "4 door open top" It may be huge? but may take away the old Jeep look. -Jeremy www.geocities.com/spincity999 (24 years ago, 15-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: 7141 alternate model (zenith speeder)

Very cool, Joseph! I am always amazed at what you can come up with, considering the parts you are limited to use! One of these days I just HAVE to try doing this, but last time I did, it didn't look like anything you would call a model... ;-) (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: THE POSTSCRIPT PROJECT

Hi Jaco In lugnet.cad.mlcad, Jaco van der Molen writes: Well, I thick so. I can almost read the .dat file. For others this might be no success, but for me it is. However, it is for now on hold because of other important business. Hope to continu (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Planes & Requirements for a generic download-tool

  Bowlin' Fer Souls

Hey Y'all: Not at all Lego related, but I just thought some of you POV or CAD people might also like some animation action: (URL) you say, "Big Daddy Roth..."? -- Richard (sitting here giggling as he replays it, and replays it, and replays it...)   Re: Planes & Requirements for a generic download-tool

Yes I know, with Win32 it's easy no matter if it's http or ftp, but is it also under Unix? I would like to keep the source as portable as possible. In general it doesn't depend on the protocol, but getting directory listings from ftp servers is (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Part Command (1)

Ok unless my new parsing-routine is ready I will replace the spaces by underlines as a work-arround since I found out the real problem is the space in the file-name.   Re: Planes & Requirements for a generic download-tool

(...) There's a zip library at ftp.cdrom.com that is capable of extracting files (doh !) and has an example for creating a win32 program. I forgot the name but it should be very easy to find. (...)   Re: Can LDAO do this? (was: anyone interested in rendering for me?)

(...) Yes, this should be perfectly appropriate. Perl would be a good tool to do this. Of course, it makes more sense to do this conversion in L3P to start with... If we can persuade Lars to do it! On the other hand, I don't like using POV-Ray to (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Part Command (1)
