(...) Are you sure about that? It has always been my impression that "long" things face the X direction in LDraw. Take a look at the Car Bases, for example, a majority of them span the X axis. (...) How about the 'Plane' category? The existing categories for vehicle-related pieces are Boat, Car, Plane and Train. Out of those, Plane seems like the best bet to me. Ok, I'll admit I'm not very experienced with any of the lego cad packages since I find them (for me) too hard to use. But I am trying to generate a VEC within LDAO for every part in every color. There is probably an easier way to do it that what I (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad)

Sorry about the origin stuff, fredrik, but I don't really make many parts and I am not much of an expert. I make the parts in AutoCAD 2000 and then use stl2dat by Marc Klein to convert them.
