Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —David Thomas Jr.
Hi all. I've posted a preview picture of my 3 finished Transformer figures. You'll recognize Megatron of course, but he's had some refinements since you last saw him, including custom stickers and a black gun. Optimus and Starscream are new, I think (...)         Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Anne Carasik
Wow. I'd buy 'em. He's not an autobot, but I'm definitely a Soundwave fan (thus, the Ravage). I was thinking of reworking Ravage and making the other cassettes. :) If you want to make a Soundwave, let me know. I'd love to get them to work together (...)         Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Matthew Gerber
OH MY LORD! Those are SPOT-ON perfect, both to the DreamWave comics and the original cartoon. They are, quite frankly, the most perfect representations of any Transformers characters that I've ever seen...no offense meant to anyone else, but I am (...)         Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Erick Jensen
I really like this trend in mecha. Transformers rock! My suggestions would be perhaps some of the smaller ones that actually transform, like Bumblebee or Brawn. Since you got Prime, maybe Ultra Magnus wouldn't be too hard to make. And why not try (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Nate Burr
*the sound of a dull thud echoes around the halls as my Jaw hits the floor* NIIIICE :D absolutely superb work here, dead on likeness on each, I'm so very impressed - but they don't transform :( my optimus may not look as impressive, but he does (...)          Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —David Thomas Jr.
The transformation is a compromise, and even moreso with lego than with the toys, it makes the robot form suffer, aesthetically speaking. That's no disrespect for the transforming lego mecha that I've seen, they are quite good, and in the case of (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Scott Lyttle
Sweet!!!! (Just wait until Eric Sophie sees this!!) That Megatron rocks!! What to do next? Hm...how about Jetfire? Since most of us know Jetfire and the Robotech Valkryie mecha are identical, you've got a great cross-platform thing going on... Scott (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Mark Neumann
Whoa. That's cool. I'd say you got the look dead on. Dang. (checking pics out again) Dang. I'd say though, without getting Hasbro's (they still own TF?) permission or liscense, TLC isn't going to touch you. I've noticed that Transformers are making (...)         Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Christopher Snead
(...) I really like Megatron, but I have to say, Starscream is my new favorite! WOW! It's a good thing you positioned Megatron to the side, and not with his back to Starscream ;-) Optimus Prime looks really good, too; but I think he didn't have (...)          Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Ryan Wilhelm
(...) Yet on the backs of the Republic gunship, Imperial Shuttle, AT-TE, and several other models (I think), there are 'alternate' mecha models. Somebody in Lego must be a mecher. (...) I agree with you, but still it is a shame. Perhaps they could (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —David Thomas Jr.
As I said, I won't hold my breath. Getting TLC interested is a long shot, but it's the only way these will ever be available as kits. I've looked into trying to produce them independently, and obtaining the parts is not even practical. Whether TLC (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Jason Coronado
i've heard a lot of talk about how transformers HAVE TO transform. to be honest, i haven't seen a single transformer(c) robot actually look all that great (remember how megatron [gen.1] looked as a robot? those really thin legs, etc. and what about (...)          Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —A. Mark Wilburn
(...) Yes, I think they DO have to transform. NOT! Heh. I'd emailed Dave before, telling him I wished he'd kept all his pages up (he'd taken down the pics of his awesome Star Wars models)... I was quite relieved to finally see them show up on (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Michael Cuneo

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —David Thomas Jr.
I'm 27, not exactly Luke to your Obi Wan. I think your giganticon sounds cool, I once had imaginings of putting together a Devistator out of several of the yellow technic sets (I could only build one vehicle at a time though back then).          Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —Erick Jensen
(...) I'm curious I was planning on doing devastator as my first transformer, I picked up the cheap $10 knock-off on ebay to use as a model.          Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview —David Thomas Jr.
No chance of doing it in the right colors there aren't even enough parts made in those colors to build it. I will probably do it in Yellow and black (or maybe blue), and if I get ambitious I would render it in cad using the right colors (neon green (...)
