The transformation is a compromise, and even moreso with lego than with the
toys, it makes the robot form suffer, aesthetically speaking. That's no
disrespect for the transforming lego mecha that I've seen, they are quite
good, and in the case of Gla Gla's most recent, outstanding, but what I'm
after is the look of the characters from the cartoons and the comics. You
just can't acheive that with a functionally transforming model. My intent
is to eventually model some of the transformers in their transformed mode as
well.
As soon as I get the professional pics posted, I will be posting on
transformer related sites. I hope to generate interest in potentially
selling these as kits.
