Heh. I'd emailed Dave before, telling him I wished he'd kept all his pages
up (he'd taken down the pics of his awesome Star Wars models)... I was quite
relieved to finally see them show up on Brickshelf a few months ago.

And now, more Dave Thomas goodness. Wicked!

Yup, as much as I like Transformers that transform, I never could stomach
most of the toys in robot form because they looked so goofy. These really do
match the idealized anime aesthetics perfectly. When Dave sets out to
recreate something, he really nails it.

i've heard a lot of talk about how transformers HAVE TO transform. to be honest, i haven't seen a single transformer(c) robot actually look all that great (remember how megatron [gen.1] looked as a robot? those really thin legs, etc. and what about (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
