Say, is there a good guide around anywhere to mech terminology, especially
weapon types?
One of the notations I've seen a lot of, for instance, is "SRM##", where the
##'s seem to be the count of rockets (i.e., SRM8 or SRM20). At this point,
I can only guess it stands for (something) Rocket Module...

"Mech" is a trademark owned by FASA (the makers of the rediculously bad Battletech series of miniature wargames) derived from the word "BattleMech". They (...) On ColinG's page mecha page, (URL) got things like AW-42, AW-90, BA-100, BA-13, FAW-16, LGAW-20, and AW-32A. Do the letters and (...) (25 years ago, 25-Feb-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

It's true that many of them are heavily ornamental, but if you scour through some of the 20-odd different series, you can find more "military" looking mecha. Some of my favorites: Zeta (...)
