a) what do you expect? It's a *humanoid* mecha, so any elements/attributes
which are even vaguely analogous to (hu)man features, will be interpreted
that way.
b) I'm not sure about your rationale for inserting a groin-gun. There's a
lot going on at the hips, with joints and structure and control cables and
whatnot. So it's not necessarily an empty space. Plus, it's close to the
center of the mecha, being the intersection point of three main sections.
So your groin-gun isn't going to have much range of motion, without blowing
off part of the mech.
Anyway, it's a cool mech.
