Okay. Those are mecha too, welcome. Anyone who’s told you otherwise is exceptionally ignorant.

If this group adopts the focus of the Japanese Human like robot, then what is to become of the rest? Mechs, Hercs, Mobile suits (other than Gundams), > those that have four or more legs, and any others that don’t fall into the basic concept that is being put forth as “Mecha”? It seems to me that this group should be about inclusion not exclusion. I already feel excluded enough from this group.

(sarcasm)

Yeah, because, y’know, we have no respect for Mladen’s Mobile Platforms, or Mark Neumann’s giant Mechs, or Karim’s dragon. We just hate those here.

(/sarcasm)

You’re excluding yourself from this group, by a definition that doesn’t exist anywhere outside of your head. That’s kind of sad.

I don’t think we’ve even discussed the possibility of excluding builders based on their choice of subject matter. If we have, we certainly haven’t done anything about it.

If you don’t want to participate, that’s fine, I respect your decision. Just don’t pin it on us.

If this sounds ugly in comparison to Eric’s post, please remember you just slighted everyone in this group rather seriously. Eric is a nice guy with a gentle heart. I’m not. I’m annoyed that you would say this, with no apparent cause.
