This is an excellent post. While I believe that LEGO is cool because you can
build whatever you want, I think that for a long time most of the creations
in .mecha arent even Mecha. They can be some cool creations but they dont
really push forward the ideas and culture of the real Japanese genre.

Im going to head off a long and flame ridden argument by asking for
clarification here. What, exactly, does this mean?
|
Probably a good idea. I dont have any malice towards other styles. I love
almost all LEGO building. What I mostly mean is that I think the content of the
group should strive to meet the coolness that is its name: Mecha. I think this
is the foundation of the group and I think Stuart recognizes this.

This is one of the main reasons I havent been more active in the group. Now
to be sure, I *do not* consider most of the few Robriq I have made to be
Mecha. Robriq for me is what Im making as I try to learn how to build Mecha.
Probably mostly cute Mecha, but you get the idea. So Im not saying in any
way that Im a mecha builder,(I want to be) but I feel like I know what
looks good.

Doesnt Toshiro count?

Oh hell yeah, but your Fuchi beat up my Fuchi a long time ago. :D
