  Moonbase Module: Mauser Support Facility

Presenting my first Moonbase module. It is inspired by E's Little Bot Hangar, and it uses the new 10brick high corridor design parameter. As usual I have some smack to lay down, but its all on mocpages...land of the free...home of the harsh (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha) !!

  Re: My second mecha

(...) looks really good, danny. the proportions are very nice and it looks like the posability is sound. great color scheme, too. for a second mech, you seem to be doing well. i really like the lower legs and, of course, the mini guns--very (...)   Re: SOPHIE!!?? WHY???!!! OH WHY????!!!

it was probably a rebellion by jama that led to his destruction... he jumped on eric, then eric grabbed his might golden brick puller aparter, "jezzibelle", and well, lets just say eric won.... (21 years ago, 13-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  My second mecha

This is a preview of my second mecha. I'm very excited to share it with everyone, so I took a quick photo. I won't be able take any proper photos within the next week (I’ve got an exam coming up). In the meantime, enjoy this pic: (URL) -DAng- (21 years ago, 13-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: SOPHIE!!?? WHY???!!! OH WHY????!!!

I know, isn't it horrible? Hey Eric, if you need help, bring Jama's remains to NWBC. I'll help get him back together if it takes all weekend. I'm not passing up a chance to see Jama in the brick, no matter what. Take care, Soren (URL) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Schwerpunkt a.k.a Focal Point

All right, here goes: Colors: A little freaky at first, but you just can't go wrong with Sand Green. The light gray doesn't bother me at all. Design: Ehhh, not very impressed beyond the joints. Shoulders look flimsy. Do they hinge upwards? (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  SOPHIE!!?? WHY???!!! OH WHY????!!!

I get on the internet, check here 1st, then go look at brickshelf. What draws my eye?? A new GORGON, a horrible sight that moved me to tears. (URL) SOPHIE? OH WHY?? (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Actually, I just now had a thought: If you attach the bottom (or top, I suppose) to a piece that has left-right movement (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Schwerpunkt a.k.a Focal Point

(...) Thanks, Paul! The color scheme grew out of a need to build those shoulders since the curved half panels aren't available in Dark Grey. I wouldn't mind revisiting the model design with a different colorscheme, but at this point, the parts (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Getting the stuff for mecha

(...) Ouch! Triple whammy! The only suggestion I can think of is to find someone to buy for you, who would act as an intermediary to purchase parts for you in exchange for a cash payment. This is a slow, potentially expensive way to go and requires (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Schwerpunkt a.k.a Focal Point

Dave, For what it's worth, I really like the color scheme. The sand green is probably one of my favorite Lego colors. I really like the head and the shoulders look pretty cool as well. I have a potential suggestion, though I don't know if it will (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Getting the stuff for mecha

Hope ya'll don't mind me asking a question here (especially John Harrison since he started this). I'm still studying and therefore don't have a credit card. My parents would never let me use their credit card to purchase stuff over the internet. And (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Schwerpunkt a.k.a Focal Point

Hello everyone! It feels nice to be back with a new MOC, especially one that was never supposed to be a completed design.   Re: Getting the stuff for mecha

(...) I've posted most of the relevant articles on this page: (URL) a compendium of most of the 'how to' of mecha building. It will be growing again shortly as I've found a couple of more things to add to it. Regarding how other people build, the (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Getting the stuff for mecha

(...) Eric pretty much covered it all. I, too, give high props to the Exo-Toa for a good parts selection. It's tough to pin down any single set at this point that has what you'd need, but any set that includes joints is a good starting point (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Eastern Block - The Gamut EB

(...) Thanks Frank. I got the very basic torso design from a Japanese mech builder (can't remember the bs folder) quite awhile ago. I'd like to see those 5 you spoke of - it's fun to see how people modify existing designs. (URL) (21 years ago, 11-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)
